Jon Sessions: It is a great pleasure to be in my second year as the Special Education teacher in grades 4-6 at Oak Grove. I have come to truly treasure the community of students, families and teachers at Oak Grove who have welcomed me so warmly. My wife Cameron and I moved to Brattleboro in the summer of 2011, and we love calling Southern Vermont our home! Before settling in the field of Special Education, I studied History and Italian at Kenyon College in Ohio, and spent a few years as a working artist in Northeastern Vermont, while teaching drawing and woodworking at the Putney School during the summers. In 2009, I enrolled in the graduate program in Special Education at the University of Vermont, and graduated in the spring of 2011 with a Master's Degree in Special Education. I have a great appreciation for the many strengths and challenges that all students experience in and out of school, and I relish the chance to work with a variety of learners. There truly are no two learners alike!
